Akothee, a flamboyant singer, has opened up to her daughter Rue Baby about the kind of men she should date. This is following the rumors a few weeks ago on her daughter Rue Baby supposedly dating MCA tricky, a stand-up comedian.
During those mother-child conversations, the businesswoman urged her daughter to consider money rather than love when contemplating entering into a relationship. She went on to say that it would be easier for Rue to cry out in Dubai rather than stay insecure upcountry. Joy, according to Akothee, will always pursue capital.
In 2018, she rubbed Kenyans in the wrong places by encouraging women to search for ‘gold’ without fear.
Akothee made the remark after posting a photo of herself with an unnamed white man while on a trip abroad.
“They already called us gold diggers, so my sister just dig, even if you’re digging in someone’s nose, dig a diga, men who can’t financially handle a woman have too many mouths, they gossip more than women??? They are afraid of the facts and spread rumours as quickly as lightning???????” she posed.
The controversial singer has previously lashed out at men who lack the financial means to provide for their relationships. The ‘Benefator’ hitmaker reiterated in a scathing attack that women do not pay bills while in relationships.
“No woman will remain in a relationship in which she is the one who spends money on you! If you’re a couple or a group of friends. Some man will come along who recognizes her value, and you will be forgotten!” She screamed.
She challenged the shifting gender roles, arguing that men should be the ones to provide.
“A woman paying bills for a man is a turn-off; men were to provide from the beginning of time in the Bible, and a woman is to submit, no matter how small!”
“Just know that if I pay your bills once, that will be the first and last date, my friend. I should save the money I’m wasting on you for the sake of my children’s future. And mark the account as a failed relationship account, so I know how much I was going to spend on you and you’ll always leave me.” Madam Akothee echoed.
